Silicon glue

This may well be in the wrong place so mods feel free to move, however I know a lot of OSers are also crafters.
I've only done a bit of decoupage (and then only with kits) and have always use sticky fixers to separate my layers. Have read loads about silicon glue and finally bought some. Is it my glue or is it always that 'dry' in appearance?
Did a few about 5 hours ago and it doesn't appear to have stuck
and just looks awful. I might be being impatient however I've bought three tubes and don't want to waste them!:money:
Any advice?

Hi 2009,
I've never used silicone glue so I'm afraid that I can't help, but if you don't get a definitive answer by tomorrow I'll move your thread over to the Special Occasions & Celebrations where a lot of experienced crafters post as they may be able to offer advice.
Alternatively try posting on the Making cards - Ideas for beginners (part 4) on that board as quite a few of the posters there do decoupage.

Many thanks. Have posted on the latter suggestion.0
