Cornish Rattler Cider - Can you get it in Devon?

I'm going to be down near Barnstaple in a couple of weeks and after a holiday down in Cornwall earlier this year I got a taste for Cornish Rattler

So as the title suggests, anyone know if its available anywhere in or around Barnstaple or am I going to have to venture further down towards Cornwall?

there's a shop in Bude that sells all sorts of ciders and I am sure I have seen Cornish Rattler in there- its about half way up the high street on the right as you look up it from the pasty shop at the bottom

I'm hoping I wont have to go quite that far down, but I probably will if I cant find any around where I'm staying (OK OK I know its not moneysaving to drive across the country to buy cider but its nice stuff!) will be stocking up while I'm down there so if anyone knows somewhere that has it on an offer that would good.

You could contact the cider Farm and ask them if they have sold it to any shops in Devon.

Thanks for that, have emailed them, I looked on the Cornish Rattler website http://www.cornishrattler.co.uk/ and it says on there that they have heard that Tesco sell it possibly as far as Bath but they say Tesco doesnt let them know (seems odd)

Excellent news, just phoned a really helpfull off license in Braunton (near to where I'm staying) and they stock all three varieties (apple, pear and berry) and even do case deals!

Very good service from the off license, when I phoned there was no answer, he called me back about ten minutes later!

Glad you found a shop near to where you staying that sells it.
Tescos in cornwall do sell Rattlers, so they maybe right about other stores outside Cornwall selling it.

We live near Salisbury and we get rattler at tesco.

I finally got an email back from the cider farm that make Rattler..


"We do supply Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Asda's main distribution centres but have no idea what stores it then gets passed onto, hope this helps"

My parents live up near there so I'm there occasionally, and I'm pretty sure it's in the Barnstaple Sainsbury's and possibly the Tesco too. :beer:

Wetherspoons have just started to stock it in their pubs. Its on their new cidar line up.
