tankgirl1 wrote:ooh ooh question- could you add ground ginger and/or cinnamon??
can you tell i'm new to this baking lark
Yes :T Experiment with different spices/flavours, have fun with them
D12yo makes the most scrumptious Cherry & Almond - simply adds almond essense instead of vanilla to the Cherry recipe and subs 25g of flour with 25g ground almond. :drool:
I've made Walnut and added some (rather jank el cheaper nasty instant)coffee powder for a coffee and walnut biscuit. Came out D-Licious! :drool:
D11yo added 50g chopped lemon/orange peel and added a dash of lemon juice so he could have St Clements biscuits
Penny W - You did great!!!!!! :T :T :T
(I wouldn't have even thought of doing the plobs :doh: I would have put the mixture in the fridge or the freezer to firm up and then kneaded it!
)

Hello
My name is Penny Watcher and I'm a bisc-aholic:rolleyes:
Since yesterday we've had choccy ones, plain ones AND choc-chip ones. They are too darned easy to make. Must admit I'm missing out the cooling and kneading bit though*hangs head in shame*
I'm now 2 stone heavier. Can someone point me towards the bisc-aholic support group please

Haha, mine are in the oven now. I checked on my buscuit sausage in the fridge and it seemed firm, so chopped it up and stuck em in the oven. Oh theres the timer, time to get em out and try them!
