hey! just spent all afternoon reading this thread and wondering how to get my 1st quid!

my dad came round and gave each of the kids a £1 as he had won at golf and then gave me a £1 too (i hadnt mentioned the thread btw lol) so yay! i have my first £1.....now what to do with it to double it is the questions, any suggestions for an easy starter?

    jamie
    Hey Jamie welcome to thread
    Well you could:
    • sell stuff on ebay
    • sell stuff on amazon
    • sell stuff at carboots
    • sell stuff at work
    • make things to sell
    • play bingo
    • matched betting
    • R&R
Remember that stuff you sell must be free (you can't have paid for it it must have been given to you)
Read thru thread and you will get tons of ideas.
    Good luck with the challenge
Most of my total has come from selling books (that I have been given) on amazon, I've done car boots with free stuff and I've sold stuff I have got from R&R. I have also played bingo and hubbys has done some matched betting and a bit of dog racing betting for me.

Finallydebtfree: An old friend who I haven't spoken to for ages does work in spain helping autistic children - I don't know if its a charity or an organisation that takes autistic children on holiday, but she goes out for a couple of weeks a couple of times a year. I would love to do something like that when I'm more financially secure. I saw an episode of 'Holiday Showdown' once and one family used to go over to 3rd world countries and help build houses etc.. for their annual holiday. I think this would be great - not just for me but also to stop the kids becoming too materialistic and to help them realise how lucky they are.
JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIME
PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS
    Weekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15
    DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T

OMG Annie you are doing soooooo well. Do you mind telling us what's made up most of your MFN?
    Thanks Jpet
most of my total has come from selling books (given free) doing car boots with free stuff, selling R&R'd stuff (and selling CD's which I have bought for pence using asda/somerfield coupons)and playing bingo. It has just slowly increased - I have also sold a bit on Ebay (free stuff of course)
I can't wait for next challenge - mine will be to clear o/d or one of debts
I can't wait to be debt free so I can get mortgage pig !!
    Good luck
    Annie

although you can buy things from your total from the challenge to sell on at a profit, I have yet to do this but am hoping to trawl the charity shops tomorrow
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!

my total is virtual - I dont have one big pot of money with my total in
It is everywhere (bank, amazon, paypal etc) but I know that I am over £700 better off than I was when I started
  • you have to have the cash in your hand (relatively speaking) for it to count
A Monkey is for life, not just for Xmas!

In a bad mood? Do a Google Image Search for baby penguins
  • £6.34 of mine is in my paypal account so far as I refuse to let them have another 25p so I can withdraw it so I have lent myself the money and got it in a pot (although I wont be able to do this when the total gets a bit higher) and the other £10 was in exchange for an argos gift voucher from my mum
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
