Credit Account Management??

I wonder if someone can help me? I have received a 2nd letter from a company called Credit Account Managementy! The first one I received this time last year! It says I have an outstanding balance of over £1500! It says its acting on behalf of SDFS Recoveries Uk and they are appointed to manage the debt. They do not say what the debt is for, or when it was for. It has come under my maiden name, which I haven't been for 9 years! I don't know how any of these people would know that I use to be that name! I have moved 3 times since I last used my maiden name!! I have never been in debt, and to my knowledge, I do not owe anybody money! This is really causing me alot of stress, but I don't not want to contact this company as I feel it would be like admitting that I am that person. I am sure this debt isn't for me but for someone else that has had the same name as me! I contact CAB last year and they said that if I did owe money under my maiden name, that becomes invalid after 6 years? Is this correct?

What should I do, can you give any advice?? PLEASE...

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

If there has been no payment towards the debt from the date of 9th September 2004 then its stat barred = end of.
If they continue to harass you then report them to the OFT & trading standards.

This is not strictly true - it might be that a CCJ had been granted which would extend the time
