Bank of Ireland is now becoming Bank of Ireland (UK) PLC

Just got a letter in this morning, BOI are moving all N Ireland cutomers to a new subsidiary called Bank of Ireland (UK) PLC

Apparently its to "enable BOI to offer products in the UK market that are directly comparable with existing mainstream providers from a risk and protection standpoint"

so that could mean
a)less protection as ROI offers more or
b)getting away from the ROI banking system as it seems to still be in meltdown

theoretcially anyway its not supposed to make any difference to your day to day banking
