Just booked a three night visit to Blackpool in October and wondered if anyone could recommend any good places to eat?

Also are thre any discount vouchers or the like about? Either for the Pleasure Beach/The Tower/The Waxworks or any shows?

Thanks in advance.

  • For breakfast or lunch I always visit Quilligans, next to the Winter Gardens.

From the outside it looks nothing but inside towards the back it's lovely. The food is always freshly cooked and nothing is too much trouble for them. Loos are clean (always a good indication of the food IMHO.) They take pride in what they do, great food presentation and great prices. You can see the kitchens and the food being prepared and they offer a very varied menu. I personally would avoid the cheaper cafes on the sea front as their cups of tea are often like drain water. Anyway I never fail to pop in when we go to Blackpool. We also have been to Frankie & Benny's new york/Italian restaurant just a short drive out of the town centre.
  • The Daily Star are doing tokens for 2 for the price of 1 at the Blackpool pleasure Beach
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
  • Hiya we went earlier on in the year
Tescos clubcard deals re avaialbe for free entry to the Tower ( I could have watched the dancing all day) and for the Zoo (watch out for the little moneys they hide behind your hand bag)
You can get 2 for 1s on most attractions and even buy them for about £1 on Ebay
Dont forget a shopping trip to Freeport to stock up on some cheap Xmas presents especailly in the toy shops
Hope you have a brilliant time. We ca,e back with so many cuddley toys from the arcades for my daughter she loved it!

  • Hi, the Pleasure Beach have their own web site with opening hours etc, some of the tickets include a show.
Food wise, my favourite Italian is Nunzio's on Queen Street, right in the centre of town, plenty of choice from pizza/pasta to fish or steaks.
Best way of seeing the Illuminations is to take a tram.

I would have thought illuminations time would be when you would expect more tourists ?
Also us lot come to Blackpool and spend our hard earned money there, so in effect we are keeping people in jobs. most of the guest houses/hotels would go bust if it was not for the toursits wouldnt they.
