Hi
I have tried putting cucumber slices and slices of raw potato for about 10 minutes ages ago. Found it refreshing but you had to do it regulary for quite a while to see results. I couldn't be bothered so didn't bother continuing with that.
I got the garnier roll on that didn't work complete waste of money.
Finally i reduced my dark circles by funnily sleeping more and drinking loads of water.0 -
Thank you.
my problem started because i got a black eye when i had a seizure and hit my head (3 months ago). The bruise has healled but i am now left with worse circles that are more prominate on one eye than the other.0 -
I also have dark circles that I'm very paranoid about and have not found anything.
The garnier green roll on did nothing. There is another with some concealer in it I got it on offer and it does seem to make a wee diff but then it's the concealer isn't it?

I was told by a beautitian this week that dark circles are to do with lack of oxygen getting to the eye area. Lack of oxygen in my mind can be as a result of a sluggish circulation (lack of sleep, caffiene overload, stress or water retention are what springs to mind) but makes sense- my eye area looks much better after a gym session late in the day rather then first thing in the morning when I am very puffy and exhausted.
I haven't really had any issues as yet- I use an under eye cream and found that once I started using a designated under eye cream my eyes were much less puffy! It took about 2 weeks of twice daily use to really notice though but I wont be going back to using my moisturiser as my under eye cream!
As far as concealers go, its hard I think as products can easily be too dense for the under eye area and just end up showing fine lines more- especially the irredescent versions. Benefit Erase-A-Paste is good but can look cake like if your not careful. It does the trick though- total block out! Clinique and other pen-brush application wands I have yet to find something that isn't too sheer for skin issues (eg spots, dark circles, thread veins etc) and that also matches my skin tone (hard).
I'd also suggest cool spoons (leave in the fridge or in a glass of ice water) and then lie over your eyes for 5 or 10 mins. Helps to reduce swelling and for some, swelling can bring redness and dark circles appear worse.0
