New way to spend nectar points in Adams

In adams Haverfordwest today, the Sales assistant told me about something new started this week. They are apparantly the first to do it and other stores are following.
You can use your nectar card in the same way as a boots card. Using the card to pay at the till. Saves sending off for vouchers!
I can see myself using the points up a bit quicker though (only use nectar points at adams)

that is good, do you still need to do it in £5 multiples do you know? am going to adams thurs and have 472 points - good for some socks if not!!

She said there would be no minimum - i did a transaction which was 275 points! She said they were the only branch that do it at the moment as far as they know, not sure how fast others are following. I was the 2nd person to have done it....although they couldnt work out how to see how many points are left on the card!

ooh, hope it cottons on quick then!! really is a great idea, I just wish you could use the total points off the item then pay the balance iykwim,

I've just discovered the new system in Adams! I went onto the Nectar website to order some Adams vouchers only to find that you now just need to swipe your card instore to use them!

This is now in all stores and there is no longer any option to order vouchers online.

Ive got 7069 points and have only ever spent them in argos before as i was put off sending off for vouchers. (Argos use this system) being pg with number 3 this may well come in handy for some baby clothes . thanks.

my dad has also just redeemed a voucher using his nectar card online (he saves the points and gives them to me for my little ones).

ETA - just gone onto the Nectar site - due to a technical problem with chip and pin, it is not possible atm to have points swiped, so they have reinstated the redemption online for vouchers.

Used my card in Adams the other day and the staff warned me that the swiping system would be down until after Christmas as there had been lots of problems with it.

Back to the old system of preordering vouchers until after Christmas.
