Moving to another place -Jobs?

Hello all,

I'm 25 and still live with my mum.....I need to move out as I'm too old! I live in the countryside and I'm looking for something more exciting. I want to move back to Manchester where I was at uni and its where all my friends are.

At the moment I work in a shop.

I have a room to go to in Manchester which is around £400/month including all bills.

I'm searching for jobs over there, but feel like I want something good that either has something to do with my commercial art degree or something which is more than £13k a year where I can work my way up (or gives me other opps) failing that it would have to be an 'easy to get' job (I know that is a task in itself!) which I could do until finding more of a career.

My question is, do I stay 50 miles away in the country side until I find a job or do I move over and search like crazy, where I can still look on the internet but on foot aswell. ??

    hello

Im not sure how you feel about care work but there are literally hundreds care jobs going in manchester-the pay can range from minimum wage up to £13 per hour depending on the hours/demands of the job. Hope this helps a little :)

Personally I would go for it, assuming you have a copule of months rent/food money just in case. You could always register with temp agencies alongside looking for "real" jobs.

    Good luck

Dont forget theres companies looking for xmas staff, you could go for 1 of them whilst still looking for something more suitable
  • Yeah I thought of that, only problem is I need a couple more wages in order to have a bit to pay my rent. I could still apply to places using my friends Manc address...?

could you not live with a friend close to manchester
  • Thats my plan, it would be £300/month inc everything so I'd have a couple of months to find work.
