    Agree with the above, but if your line is even slightly dodgy (i.e. miles away from the exchange), it's probably best to fit a decent faceplate (note that BT will actually do this for you if it's the only way your line will support ADSL).

    I used to have to unplug my Sky digibox to get my ADSL to work (even though I was using a filter on it), but when I connected up the faceplate, it all works fine, and not a single drop of sync ever.
