Which Buzz Lightyear do I buy?

My son (3) wants a 'real' Buzz for his xmas. basically he wants one where the wings come out and the buttons say things and the laser lights up.
I was looking at the £20 Disney store Buzz and it does the wings and says things but Im not sure if the laser lights up. Im not sure at his age the £50 deluxe one would be worth it as he can be quite rough.
It would be one of his main presents though.

Does anyone have the Disney store £20 one or played with it in the shop? Theres so many to choose from.

He wants a 'real' one as I got him a small action figure a while back and he loves it but wasnt impressed that nothing lit up or said anything lol.
thanks in advance for any tips.:D

Thanks Shellsuit. I think I might just go for the Deluxe one from Smyths. Its just that he is just 3 and can be rough and I felt it was a lot to pay incase he broke it. Thats why I wasnt sure if the Disney store £20 has enough good features that will please him.

Do you have a Disney store near you so you can go and have a play with the £20 and see if its what he'd want??

OR, you could buy the cheaper one, and tell him if he really looks after that Buzz, that he can have the bigger and better one for his bday/next Christmas??

    Just an idea :)

I thought about that and the nearest is 35 miles from me and dont have time this week as my DD just started school plus the nursery run. i might try and get up next week, Im dying to get my xmas shopping started lol.

I might do that with the cheaper one as a trial cos if he broke the expensive one id be gutted, even at £37. Im swayed by the fact the Disney store take paypal so i can use my the money ive made from making stuff on ebay. plus its 5% on topcashback.

Think ive just talked myself into the £20 one lol

  • Hi Nic2075,

The Disney Store Buzz has 28 phrases including many from the film, he has a real working laser just like in the film and poseable arms and legs, extendable wings and a retractable helmet. He’s a real bargain and has all the features you are look for, I’m sure your son won’t be disappointed!

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to know.really it's the laser and buttons he really wants as that makes him 'real' in his eyes. It mentioned the phrases and wings but didn't say about the laser.
I'm off to buy it now. Thanks for all the help.

My £20 Disney store buzz arrived today, it's perfect. Does everything my ds wants and more. So glad I went for that one and not the deluxe.
