I've just bought a dell axim x50v for £288 with some freebies so I think I'll stick with it for now. I've no idea how the two compare but this axim seems the dogs wotsits. I've also bought a wireless USB pen thingy to go in my pc (tenner from ebuyer) & I'm hoping to mess about on moneysavers in the garden all summer!

    have you bought the HP?
  • I ordered the dell axim x50v for 288 after seeing it posted on hotukdeals with the free tv tuner or whatever u wanted, but never recieved it yet. I phoned up dell they say it wont be delivered til some time in march. they say its due to a part shortage. anyone else having the same problem? they took the money alrite, as soon as i ordered! anyone else have the same problem an what should i do? no faith in dell at all customer service is ridiculous.

Many people are in the same situation as you. Check https://www.aximsite.com for more details. Dell just can't get enough VGA screens to manufacture the x50v.

    Hi Fantasia,

Yes I have ordered the HP and looking forward to setting it up wirelessly. Hoe it is easy to do. I have wanted one of these for years and only just got permission to have one! While she's in a good mood I might try for a new computer as well.

the HP is excellent, the wireless setup is a simple and its great for watching back movies when your on the move (make sure you get a large memory card) . Also look out for the "pocket player" app available on the net for playing back MP3's, its much better than media player and is free!!!
  • Hi middlers

I wouldn't mind setting this thing up with gps - any ideas on what hardware to buy (software is not a problem!)

good way of getting cheap navigation in the car I suppose!
  • Not a clue Fantasia but would appreciate anyone else's views on this. Thank you puno for your advice, I will certainly look out for pocket player when the pda arrives. Still no despatched e-mail from Dixons!
