Optima Legal??

Just had a really threatening letter from Optima Legal in the post this morning - we are in the process of setting up a dmp with cccs and all of our creditors have had letters re this.
More angry then anything about this letter, lots of things that may happen etc etc if we dont pay o/s, but is has really upset hubby.
The letter is referring to our MBNA debt, does anyone know if Optima Legal are part of the same company or if MBNA are really using an outside company?
I think Im just going to send them a letter with a £1 postal order and giving them our cccs ref number again

Hi there,
I can't offer much advice but I can say that Optima Legal are a corporate law firm and probably have MBNA as a client. Any debt related matters that MBNA they will pass straight onto Optima or any other law firm they have on their panel.
No doubt someone will be a long shortly to offer what is best to do in this situation and will give great advice.

Hi There
I would respond (again) by recorded delivery stating all the details re your DMP provider and that you are committed to paying off your debts etc and state that you are sending this letter to CCCS.
It is difficult in the short term to get your DMP up and running, I found it very stressful, however once done it should be less fraught.

SNAP!! Optima Legal must have been busy posting letters out as I got one the same day as you. Sounds like the same letter.
Lots of - we could do this .. we might do that ...sort of suggestions in it.
We are in exactly same situation setting up with CCCS but have had to put it on backburner last couple of weeks due to illness. I am concentrating on it next couple of days just need to get through to CCCS on phone to clarify couple of final details.
I have also sent letters to everybody so I am just going to send letter again to Optima Legal with Copy to MBNA and send recorded.
Does your letter ask for information on income and expenditure - form is on the back of my letter? Do I give them that or just tell them to wait to hear from CCCS? I am making token payments.
At least I am not the only one with this letter! RON0
