  • I have had this e-mail and several others too, my e-mail has managed to put them all in my spam folder for me! I do think it is useful to highlight them though as some people may do a search for the company if they are unsure so it can help more people avoid the scammers.
    A big thank you to all comping posters!! :T
  • I received the Pluto Group email this morning. After finding this thread (thank you BTW!) I deceided to see what Total Jobs have to say about the matter so I sent the following;

    Hi,

    I received the following message from a less than subtle money launderer who claims to have obtained my data from your service. I am understandably distressed as I was assured that the data protection act covered my personal information on TotalJobs.com. I'm sure this is a case of someone abusing your service but it nonetheless remains that this person has my home address, contact information & CV.

    This seems to has happened quite recently to others who register with TotalJobs.com <<Link to this thread placed here>>

    I would like to know what steps you intend to take to address this?

    Yours sincerely

  • I am interested in this subject and have a suspect on file.
    One thing I am currently interested is whether this type of phish has stopped since the Chch quake? Were the phishes mentioned in this thread received before the quake? Do you still have the full source of the emails? I do not operate in public as I am watched by the scammer... My experience, that is if this is the same scammer, is that banks and McD's have been recent targets. Please contact me off list at mse at bencom dot co dot nz if you can assist with my investigation.

    Any so called company asking you to receive money into your account or send money stay well clear you will be used as a 'money mule' of theres another thread below about a company called 'Lloyd Ltd' who are scammers https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2740306. Might be worth sarting a thread or sticky listing these sites to warn people off? As this is beoming a common problem and unfortunately some desperate people will get caught in the net of these fraudsters.
