Is bronzer too footballers wives

Ive just been reading a trinny and susanna book and they recommend avoiding bronzer as its too footballers wives and to go for the rosy cheeked look. Now thats put me off wearing bronzer but it does seem to suit me.

Nothing wrong with it unless you put that much on you look orange, or have a big tide mark around your face.

I use bronzer instead of foundation as I don't like foundation on my face, but it doesn't look false at all.

It's all about personal preference, I prefer the natural look rather than the wannabe look.

I used to think brozer was very 'wannabe WAG' but after watching loads of tutorials on youtube I have realised that it can actually be very subtle and pretty.

I'm currently researching which bronzer is the best (leaning towards NARS but oh so expensive) I 'think' MeMeMe (Superdrug) have a really good bronzing block which isn't to expensive. Its not majorly pigmented but a good starting place.

Apparently prestige is good too, i've added a link to lollipop26, she reveiws everything and is really good for advice as she gives dupes for expensive items.

It looks nice if you dont over do it and get the right shade for your skin tone, its really important not to go too dark also get a matte one and then if you want a sheen use blusher or highlighting products, less is more with bronzer, Bourjois do a good range of colours and its very light and easy to put on:)

  • I agree with the others, its only footballers wives if you look like you have been tangoed.

I use a little bronzer just to brighten my skin as i'm quite pale. Less is more:p

if you get a good bronzer not a cheapy one with more browner tinge than orange its the best way to go.

I never wore a bronzer untill my friend suggested hoola by benefit. I always wafted a bit over my cheeks ect......but that was untill i discovered bobbi browns bronzer and thats even better than hoola.

I say go for it, and im far from being a wag!

Absolutely agree with vixarooni, I used Benefit for a while, and got hold of Bobbi Brown cheap in NY last year, and it is really is amazing. They also have a huge range of shades, and I have recently bought some for a friend, and found the counter girls really helpful.
  • Thanks for your replies, do you use bronzer with or without foundation?
