Bankruptcy. Is it my best option

I have signed up here because i am so at a loss with what to do...
Currently this is my debt situation
Lloyds credit card- £1027
Halifax credit card - £3804
Barclay card £650 (roughly)
Halifax loan £1364
Halifax overdraft £1297
United Utilities £65
Barclays loan £599
I am under an IVA with debtline at moment so some of that is under there but they dont seem to be doing much...Have recieved default notice off lloyds and I have lost my job 2 weeks ago...Living on benefits now...
Also behind in my phone bills to the amount of about £200..
I just dont know where to begin tackling this mountain and still have a life

Hi Ben, just wanted to say you're in the right place for help. Someone will be along shortly with some links for the best debt advisory services in the uk, you should contact one of them and they'll take you through your options. Going bankrupt is such a big step, nobody here can tell you what you should to, but when you make an informed decsion after speaking to some experts there will be loads of people here who will help you sort it out and get you through it.

it could be an option for you...cheaper than bankruptcy but the terms & conditions are mainly the same
