Partial settlement- advice please

Blair Oliver Scott and Santander have settled for 70 percent each of what I owe.both will register a partial settlement with CRA's. Two defaults were registered against me in November 2005. So they should be gone by November 2011. What I want to know if the partial settlement will continue to affect my creditworthiness after the defaults have dropped off?

    Hi Condor67,

    You are correct to say that the defaults will come off your credit file in November 2011. Creditors generally don't like partial settlements, so I'd say they'd affect you for as long as they are on your credit file, but would have no idea how much. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can provide more advice/assistance.
    If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
