Mid-life Crisis?

I turned 40 in May and all this year I've been a bit odd. For instance I've decided that I want to do a parachute jump
About 16 years ago I had the top of my ear pierced and loved it but then a few years ago got a job where I had to take it out for work. I got sick of in-out-in-out so I left it out. Now I'm desperate to have it redone, and I will
I've been blonde all my life so recently I've decided that bright red would be a good look. Haven't got up the nerve yet but its going to happen.
I've always been into fashion and I've had some fairly individual looks over the years and seem to have lost my way a bit when I was with a control freak ex so do you think I'm just getting ME back or is it a mid-life crisis.
Oh, and the other day I thought how cool it would be to have a BMX bike!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I turned 40 last year, bought a MGF and this year bought a stunt kite!
All very odd.Know the difference between what you WANT and what you NEED. :T0 -
I'm glad its not just me:j
Definitely going to change the hair colour, off to Superdrug or Boots in the morning for some colour ideas:D might start off with auburn and work my way up to fire engine red:eek:0 -
I had my belly button pierced just before I turned 40. I had originally planned to get it done a month before I did, but I waited til after I'd done my other mid-life moment....my skydive!! (had to wait til after so the harness wouldnt rub it!!) GO FOR IT!!!!0

I'm turning 40 in a month's time, and I've recently coloured my hair bright red (it's been henna red for years already), will be getting an intimate piercing that I've been wanting for years, and have been thinking about getting the inline skates down from the attic!
I don't think it's a midlife crisis, it's just that we want to do things we like and are excited about regardless of other people's opinions! Age is but a number - you're only as old/young as you feel!
Cogito, ergo sum.0 -
You ladies are doing all the things I wish i had done at 40. I am a young 67 now and lots of my friends are dead so enjoy everything you want to do and GO FOR IT, life is too short.0

I'm turning 40 in just over a month's time and I'm expecting to go a bit weird too. I'm hitting the gym like a demon as it is, stopped smoking early last year, all in prep for my new lease of life........0

I think its a case of growing older and caring much less what other people think. I've suddenly realised that no one can make me happy except me so I'm going to do precisely that:D
As a teenager and in my 20s it was so important what other people thought of me (for all our arguing that we are individuals we really just want to be accepted by our peers at that age) but now I really don't give a ****. My mantra now is.....if you don't like what you see, don't look!!! I have many friends of all ages and they like me cos I'm happy, fun and friendly, not because I have the right hair or shoes. I went out on Saturday in a VERY tight corset , jeans and Converse and I looked awesome!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
