Unilateral Notice in respect of a charge

Hi, I hope someone can help me. HSBC bank have a "Unilateral Notice in respect of a charge" against my house, this appears on the land registry and HSBC are listed seperately as the beneficiary. I have today received a letter from their solicitors, Eversheds, referring to "the charge" as opposed to a unilateral notice stating that the bank are entitled to enforce this "charge" and instigate possession proceedings. I cannot find any clear information that either confirms or refutes that they can do this. Can someone please help me?

I've no idea how to help regarding advice etc, but will bump this so someone with more knowledge than me can advise.
Good luckIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

It sounds like something like a charging order but not a full charging order. I'm not too sure to be honest but I would give National Debtline a call - hopefully they can help you. It sounds like they want to go for repossession of your house - this can hopefully be prevented. It depends on what the debt is for, how much if anything you have paid towards it , whether you have any repayaments plans with them and your living situation - ie if you are classed as vulnerable, are disabled, have young children living with you etc etc.
Your local CAB might also be able to help you out on this one. The letter could be just scare tactics - it's difficult to know really which is why I suggest you get some urgent advice so you know wherer you stand.
Good Luck
