1p finds at Tesco thread

oh and found some new scanners - one in maryhill clothes section, one in shettleston half way up first aisle as you walk in the door and one in clothes section - they are even advertising that you should use them so feel free lol and two in coatbridge one in the clothes section was unplugged though and one in the first aisle as you walk in the door again not working - do you think the staff have been telling HQ they are fed-up getting price checks - because this seems to be a new thing x

Can anyone tell me what the price checkers look like?

I've spotted something in the freezer isle, which is pretty much a computer with a barcode scanner but not sure if it's a price checker, doesn't look very inviting and don't want to try using something which is for staff not customers and get told off!

If you look at the posts these people have made, simply click their username (blue text) and from the drop down, select 'Add xxxx to Your Contacts'. Click Yes on the next page.

You can see your contacts by clicking User CP which is located on the green bar below the 'Important' images and above where it says 'Welcome xxx. You last visited: ....... '. When you've clicked on User CP (CP stands for control panel) you'll see Networking and underneath that Contacts.

I have added all but Tara (if someone could confirm her full username that would be great).

P.S. yes Bloomfields are full of trouts. Ards isn't so bad but Springhill can be bad depending on time of day. Belfast is lovely in comparison. Maybe you aren't allowed to live in North Down and use coupons :rotfl:

P.S.2 @cocoloco - not been to Springhill in the last couple of days so not me. What Dove are you talking about anyway?

P.S.3 @Princesswoo - didn't realise last night that you were from here. Did you get those dolls you were after? I can keep an eye out if you want but I def saw them in S'hill & Bloomfields at least a week ago. You could always try asking if they're in the store room.

I doubt if the computer is it - we have a few of those around. The price checker is normally mounted on one of the thick upright square columns and it is like a grey/cream rounded box, about a foot high, and it has the lazer scanner on the front at the bottom.

hello i'm a newbie!:wave: Have been lurking for a few days now and have managed to purchase the following:

stock cubes (t value ones at 6p)
2 x belgian choc puds (87 p each)
2 x lloyd grossman tomato and chilli (20p each)
3 x sharwards biryani 2 step sauce (40p each)
6 x smoothies during the "glitch"
2 x homepride chilli sauces (10p)
4 x finish dishwasher cleaner (74p each)

think all of these have mentioned on this thread at some point so thank you very much! Disappointed not to have got any Dove but you can't have everything and I have got 4 of the deodorants so far (2 on bog of so cost 10P and 2 of the roll on so cost 56p).

Thanks again, you're all great but I wonder where this addiction to bargain hunting in Tesco will end (although on the plus side, I now find it much more exciting than buying clothes so it's saving me a fortune both ways!)

Just one question - where on earth are the price scanners in Tescos?
