I thought they were always a fiver each? I remember HMV, Tescos and other places having promotions on these last year where you can get 2 for a tenner etc...

I don't think so.... Tescos had 2 for the pirce of one as I recall. I think they were 2 for £18. As for HMV - I very, very much doubt it. Very rarely do HMV have the cheapest prices around. Check out https://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk and discover that you can't buy JB dvd's anywhere else for £4.99 each. I would like to be proved wrong as I have a few more titles to get cheap to complete my brother-in-laws collection.

are these the special edition covers, where when stacked together the backs show the 007 emblem?

I am 99.9% sure they are the special edition covers. I don't think you will be able to find ones that aren't at the moment. If you click on a DVD on the site you will see 'Special 007 Edition' at the bottom of the front cover.

I personally have never seen any of the bond DVDs at £4.99 before - my brother is a massive bond fan and he purchased some of the DVDs from Tesco when they had the 2 for 1 offer a while ago (they were 2 for £18), he is now making a list of the titles he hasn't got and wants me to order the rest for him

I am also quite sure that these are the SE covers, maybe with the exception of Die Another Day, which seems to be the standard 2 disc edition.
