Help! Drain needs unblocked asap!

The drain at the front of my house got blocked up by tree-cutters and now it's lashing down and the water is draining very slowly. Before I get flooded can anyone suggest a contractor who could unblock it?

Before anyone says, I have lost my Yellow Pages and Google is useless.:)

I used Mark Jamison and found him to be excellent and a bit cheaper than Dynorod. Ph: 07808 476467 Drainaway

    Before you pay anyone ...

Put on some very old clothes and lie down next to the drain. Stick you arm down and see if it's something you can clear yourself.

Of course, if you think that there might be broken glass or any other hazard down there - don't bother.

My drain outside my backdoor gets blocked every couple of years, and although it's unpleasant, it's a good money saver.

I know, that's what I would like to do but unfortunately I can't because the grille is cemented into the path and the downpipe goes right down very close to the grille.

    Thanks anyway for replying.:)

I agree. In a previous job I used Mark quite a few times and he always did a great job. I'm sure some of his bills were less than Dynorod probably charge for coming out! :)
