  • Yes, but do they charge a fee for doing so? Certainly, you want to move debt to the lowest rates possible, including 0% deals if you can get any.
    Happy chappy
  • With the information you've given so far - you are running at a deficit of 168 per month.

Please can you break these down into individual amounts
    phone bill+ internet + mobile
    rent council tax water electricity
going out, newspapers, food at work

Transferring egg to hsbc would reduce the interest - but are those minimum payments you're making? If so it looks as though the hsbc is over 3% monthly payment but the egg card is 2.5% - so with a transfer your payments would increase. You would need reduce your outgoings so that not only do the figures balance but also so that you have enough left over to cover an increase in monthly minimum payments.

What's the APR on next card - I think this will be the highest.

    wages take home 920

    phone bill+ internet + mobile 65
rent council tax water electricity 260
    car insurance 36
    petrol 120
    food 120
    clothes 30
going out, newspapers, food at work etc 50

    outgoings 681

    hsbc personal loan £11050.64 - 11% @ £210 p/m (60 months) 210

    lloyds tsb loan £3050 14% (i think) @ £82 p/m (51 months) 82

    capital one credit card £1293.69 @ £60 pm (limit £1400, 15.9%) 60

    egg card £750 @16.5% - £20 pm 20

    hsbc online credit card £708.96 @9.9% - £25 pm (credit limit £1900) 25

    next store card £49.36 -£10 pm 10

    Debt repayments 407

    Total 1088

    Balance -168

thanks all hours, thats really useful

the other thing that Im noticing here is that petrol & car insurance are listed, but nothing for car repairs, parking and so forth? Nothing whatsoever for prescriptions, dental, presents, home improvements, anything we ALL need to spend from time to time.

I can tell you that the APR on the next account is somewhere around 28% from what Ive seen on others SOa with the next account too.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
