Hi was hoping the lovely people on this board would be able to help me as I am totally out of ideas as to what to do for DH aniversary present, usually I know exactly what to do but this year nothing, nada, haven't a clue....
Also it can't be very expensive as I've only just been made redunant and would like to save money where I can.

It was our 10th anniversary this year too and we used our Tesco clubcard vouchers to book a weekend away at a hotel without our kids. It was lovely to just get some time together for a change and we had a lovely meal both evenings. Also, hubby took me horseriding as it is something I have wanted to do for years. I would definitely recommend having a look at the Clubcard pages to see what you can redeem some points on..that way, it's free!0

that is a lovely idea im not married but been with oh for 18 years this year and albeit some people think we are not allowed to celebrate anniverseires in the same way married couples do (complete tosh imo) i would and have used inexpensive means the tesco vouchers come in very useful,we have usually just had a babysitter my sister to have girls and just had a lovely meal and alone time and reminice which to me is perfect and inexpensive:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

unfortunatly the tesco vouchers are gone on a hotel which we need later in the year for a wedding and we are off on holiday in october so don't want to go away, plus we can't as there is a hen do and a stag do at either side of our anniversary os can't even get a night out together either weekend lol. I think its half the reason I don't know what do between weddings, stags, hens and holidays...
I know that 10 years is tin, and thats as far as I can get I just can't come up with something along the tin lines that I think DH would like.0 -
why not a romantic candle lit picnic early evening. ok so might be a bit chilly but more reason to snuggle up together and lay under the stars. take a water proof picnic blanket to put on ground first. then a few duvet to make it softer. as for tin, wash out some baked bean cans and turn them into candle lights by punching out some shapes.( u fill them with water and then freeze it to make it easy to punch the shapes out, use a nail and hammer) and use them as your romantic candle light. like this.

then take a chocolate fondue and some food to dip into it, like strawberries, bananas, nougat , marshmellow etc.
we were planning to get married again for our 10th wedding, but we been married 8 years and it gone so quick , gonna wait till our 25th. i'll be 45 !!!!! bit shocking thinking that far ahead,lol.0 -
How about buying/finding a tin and filling it with 10 things that would mean something to your OH such as: a framed pic of the two of you, a list of the 10 things you love most about him, a bottle of his fave beer, bar of his fave chocolate, copy of his.your fave film on DVD for the two of you to watch, copy of his fave book... any good, not something I've ever done but the thought came to me so thought I'd jot it down.

We both regularly do track days here (both bikers), he's only just done another one in August past.
Our anniversary is on the 23rd Sept which is a thursday, so hotel is out as he's working, plus the weekend of the 18th is a stag do and the weekend of the 25th is a hen do, and its our bestfriends so can't and don't want to really miss it out.
I'm just so stumped. I am making an anniversary dinner and thats as far as i've got....
Thanks everyone for all your suggestions though.0 -

Love that idea. Could be really inexpensive, but filled with more love than something impersonal that may have cost a fortune, if you get what I mean!"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0
