Having a problem with them-could anyone help
· I ordered the course about 3 weeks ago
· It arrived quickly –the guy didn’t ask me to sign for it (so could I deny getting it)
· I looked through the child care course and called up as when I signed up I was told I could pick where I took tests. In the book it said about 5 choices all south (I live in wales)
· So I asked to cancel and how do I do it. It was also riddled with mistakes
· In the book it says “send recorded” I asked the lady and said “no , ignore that, you can send it first “ I said about the cancel notice she said” just pop it the box.”
· So with in a hour I it was posted, first class. I did ask for those red or grey notes with a royal mail stamp, I think proof of postage, but the guy said he ran out. So I went on my way.
· A week later I call back “have you had my box back” no, they said, no record. Ok, so it may not be there
· Called the next day-nothing
· I gave it a few days and called last Friday, very rude woman on the other line, who hung up. I eventually asked for a manger call back.
· Call today, asking if the manger will call back “ no he wont” so I asked to be put on “we don’t put people on the mangers “ so I asked why “we just don’t” she then hung up
· I call again and I get a bloke , I said I want to speak the the manger he said “no, you hung up on my college, I was right there” (I didn’t hang up, she did)
· I ask again “can I speak to the manger , I want an authority to speak to “ he goes on “I have been working here xxx amount of years, I am authority”
· So I calmily ask. “if my box dose arrive, would I get a refund” “No” he says “you didn’t send a cancaltion note” I said I was told to put it in the box “ well you shouldn’t have”
What I found odd was they kept asking “was it recorded”. Now I don’t want to sound parronid, but could they possibly have it. As in theory I have no proof. If they do get the box, I wont get my money any way.. how can I address this
I could?
- Email dhl – I didn’t sign, so could I deny reciving the course, just say It was incomplete or something
- Email royal mail – (have a member of family there who said he would be surpised if a 3kg box went missing esp first class)
- Or ics?

How would I apporch this, im hitting dead ends. Im keeping one course (have no choice)) and I find this customer sericve in which they put the phone down on me , terrible (trust me, its hard for me to be calm, but I did try and didn’t speak over them)

I think you are going to have more problems. I did a quick google and found this link. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?147862-Ics-Distance-Learning
Not sure how you will get it sorted as they have history.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

No, i wasnt. I was told there were near me. So when the course came it says 5 centres (london, birmingham and a few more) (i live in wales) . I called up to ask if there were any other centres, "no, only the ones on the page" i did say i had one near me "well only the ones on the paper".
thanks, i have looked on the site-they seem a bunch of ...well best not write it here...:mad:0
