Correct answers will be placed in a random prize draw to win a five-night holiday for two at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa (on a bed-and-breakfast basis) in a Deluxe Room at Al Bandar. The prize, worth £2,500, includes flights from Heathrow to Muscat with Oman Air - the only airline with direct, non-stop daily flights between London and Muscat, with full Wi-Fi and mobile phone connectivity - and transfers. The holiday is subject to availability and must be taken by 31 October 2011.

Turn to page 198 of the October issue of Cond! Nast Traveller magazine to identify the region and country in the picture where six women are seen carrying fishing baskets.

The six women returning from work belong to a tribe renowned for their weaving skill, and the decorative baskets they make are exported around the world, to be used for storing food or clothes. Originally from a country to the north, the tribe was forced to flee southwards in the 18th century, settling in a region affected by seasonal flooding. It is also home to one of the world's most important eco-systems, attracting a wide variety of wildlife and a stampede of wildlife photographers. While the waters are rich, rain in the dry season is scarce. In a short story about drought, the country's best-known author wrote, 'The air is so dry and moisture-free that it burned the skin.' Handily enough, the basket-making people also developed a reputation for making rain, and their services were once highly prized in the region. Where are you?

Question - Identify the region and country where the women are.

Answer - (help needed)
