Hi All
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a template where it explains to a DCA that we cannot increase our payments ?
They have written and given the usual "we have completed our review and your payments will increase from x amount to x amount..
Thanks in advance

Try national debtline sample letters section, there will be one in there that you can amend to suit.

Its not for a DCA to "conduct reviews" or to insist that "payments will increase"
You are the boss of them, not the other way round.
As a result of their blatant cheek, i would either stop payments altogether (check if they have any proof of the debt) - or reduce your payments to the minimum legal of £1 per month.
Who is the DCA in question by the way?0 -
The last tme they `reviewed` they tred to increase it 50% , and for their chjeek i reduced it 20%....
The DCA is FCM (First Credit Management)0 -
Will pen a letter in a bit telling them i can no longer afford the current £15 a month and will be adjusting the payments to £7.50
they will love that i`m sure...0 -
Don't forget to say "Thank you for notifying me of your recent review of my account. This was a very timely prompt to conduct my own review...."Will pen a letter in a bit telling them i can no longer afford the current £15 a month and will be adjusting the payments to £7.50

What about this..........
Dear Sir/Madame
Following a review of my current financial circumstances, I have to inform you that I will be reducing my payments to yourselves in respect of the above account, for the foreseeable future.
From the Sept 25th payment, the new figure will be £7.50 per month
Due to the current climate and ever increasing costs of everyday living expenses this is done with extreme regret but utmost necessity
