Medion Laptop £300!

Aria have some good bargains, one being the Medion N9085 Laptop for £301 inc. delivery! I have just bought one, but be quick if you are in the market for a laptop as there are not many remaining.

The Acer laptop from Comet is of similar spec but think the processor is 1.6 celeron and has built in wireless and the screen was 15.4

It was £299 but not sure if they still have any
  • Dont think thats a very good deal as you only get a 2 Month Warranty so I gather these are not new.

Finally with a 60 day RTB guarantee you can be rest assured that this laptop will not let you down for years to come.

Seems they have confidence in the machine "rest assured that this laptop will not let you down for years to come" I would well prefer a machine that came with a 12 month warrenty

Maybe a refurb? as it seems strange to only offer a 60 day warrenty rather than a 12 month

Yes. detailed specs page says :

Item is fully factory refurbished and repackaged

Just noticed under the pic of the laptop
Item is fully factory refurbished and repackages

Personally then I don't think it is that cheap if it is a refurb as i would rather get a new unit with a full 12 month warrenty

    What does anyone else think
  • You can reduce Dells Laptops prices by around £70 if you reduce the warranty from 1 year to 90 days, so it's worth comparing it to the cheapest laptop Dell have when it's downgraded to match that one.
  • I spotted it too in the Aria email. Thought it wasnt a bad price for a very basic laptop but then spotted it was 60 days warranty and refurbished :-( then thought better of it.

Its ideal for the most basic of functions - word processing, internet and email but wouldnt expect any performance from doing other tasks.

There are 1 or 2 other laptop deals out there for a few pounds more and slightly better specs.

    I would avoid.

There are too many laptops out there that have a much higher specification, but for a higher cost - although, it would be worth it.

This unit is about 2-3 years out of date already.
