Help with Default Notice

Hi Guys,

I've trawled the forums and can't seem to find this anywhere so here goes!

Over the last 4 weeks I received 2 letters from Aktiv Kapital claiming that I owe a debt that I defaulted on in 2007

I did nothing with these letters, opting to through them in the bin.

Only today, I've checked my credit file on Experian and they've added this default to my records!

I've never dealt with this company before, can they do this without any action or admitance on my part?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

In hope,

Pat

  • Has nobody got any thoughts on this?

I'm worried that this will affect me when I need to change my mortgage, my history had been fine up to now! :(

I fished the last letter out of the bin, they've even said on the letter that they aren't sure they've got the right person!
