Should I use a Independent Financial Advisor for debt consolidation

Hi All,

Not in debt crisis but I have only been paying off the minimum on 3 CC's for a few years and of course not making any difference to my debt.

There are a dangerous and bewildering amount of options in terms of CC offers and loans.

I'm wondering if anyone had used an IFA to help find a solution.

Experiences and even recommendations appreciated.

I hope this will help. I was recently in the same situation and was considering all the options available to me. At the time I only had one credit card but I lost my job and the payments got a bit out of control. A friend of mine suggest using a IFA but I found it difficult getting round to seeing one as I had to sell my car and live in the country so transport took time.

He pointed me in the direction of www.debtconsolidation.co.uk

They were very honest and open with me and didn't sugar coat anything. They arranged for me to pay off my credit card with affordable loan payments.

I hope this helps, I know how difficult and overwhelming it can be when you feel your debts are stacking up.

As long as they don't suggest swapping unsecured borrowings for secured ones
You don't know whats in store for you, and the last thing you want is the possibility of losing your home over a few cc debts .
