Paid off our mortgage - who do we need to inform?

We've just been in the fortunate position to be able to pay off our mortgage. We've had a letter from the mortgage provider confirming receipt, and have just received letters from the Land Registry stating that the building society no longer has an interest in the property.

I've also informed our house insurers.

Is there anyone else we need to inform that the property is now mortgage free and owned outright by us?

thanks

I've moved contents insurance since I paid off my mortgage but buildings insurance which my factor organises don't know - is it necessary to tell them?
  • Not 'necessary' as such (as this would simply remove a noted interest - and that noted interest no longer has an interest to claim on) but it does give you someone else to bragg to and 'tidies up' the paperwork.

No-one other than close family knows I'm mortgage free - it is down to very sad circumstances so if I don't have to tell them I won't - found it hard enough having the bank teller saying 'lucky you'.
  • My apologies - no offense meant
