Lost job - need a loan
Hi - I need some advice.
In short I have lost my job and need some cash from somewhere to cover me over till I start working again.
My income is the standard job seekers benefit (£70/wk).
My debts are:
=£8000 on credit card. I have stopped payments on this in line with Credit Counselling Service
=£2000 on overdraft. This is the max.
Not sure where to go now so any suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance
TB

YOu certainly dont need more debt!
Ring the creditors and ask them to freeze the interest whilst you are looking for work!:cool:0 -
open a new bank a/c ..one with whom you have no debts
and make sure all your income goes there as your current bank may take your income.
presumably you have created a full SOA (income and spending budget) for CCCS; what does it show?0 -
OP - Do you honestly expect a loan company to shell out to someone who has no income and £10k of debt already? Its not going to happen.
Other, more realistic options, have been suggested already. Go and try these.0 -
What did you spend the £8k on?
Find those items and sell them. Quick.0 -
If you're with CONSUMER credit counselling service then I don't understand why you're on here asking for a loan..
Unless you're with one of those dodgy companies who rip of genuine charities names and then fleece customers...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
Que sera, sera.
