AIC Glasgow

Been contacted a couple of months ago by AIC (Allied) Glasgow regarding a CC debt of which I presume they bought from MBNA. (balance about 3.5k), they said that the min they could accept from me is £150 per month, however this is stretching me too much to keep up. I've had nothing official from them in writing, just many nuisance, grumpy calls from one individual called Mr G.......

What is my next step, i've read a few things about AIC on the web & I'd like to get rid of the debt, but I'm not happy paying these abrupt people my hard earned money.

I've also read a little about CCA letters etc.
Any help appreciated.

£1 per month is all these clowns are worth...and even thats pushing it.
    Send them a CCA request.
Refuse to answer security questions when they do phone.
Report them to the OFT & trading standards if you wish......
  • Thanks Mr Ton, they keep hogging my line, I'll send them the CCA request.
I was quite happy paying £50 per month to MBNA until these jokers came along.

The greed of the debt collection industry has been its downfall in my view.
There have been many instances of people happily making repayments that they are able to stick to - yet the greedy DCA always wants more & threatens them etc...
Well now as a result, none of them get anything at all - or £1 per month if lucky.
One day they may learn - but im not hopeful....
  • I have now printed & enveloped my CCA request. Thank you.
