E-mail on mac! Won't down-load

I 'd be grateful if someone could help.

I use a mac G4 and tiscali. The mail programme will open and it showed mail coming in, but all I've got is a warning triangle sign by the words' Inbox' and Tiscali. Of course, no new mail shows in the list.

I've used the mac 'help' menu, gone to 'mailbox' on the bar and selected Tiscali, nothing happens.

I've clicked 'get new mail' that brings up an old BT internet link, but we haven't been with them for 5 years.

Strangely this has only happened since I've started getting regular e-mails from a friend on btinternet. Coincidence or is the computer putting itself back to BT?

I have a mac (desktop) and for the last two days cannot retrieve my emails. I have the triangle against all inboxes and the inboxes are greyed out. I can make them black by setting them to online but as soon as I press "get mail" they grey out again.

I am a tiscali customer and can go onto tiscali/talk talk and retrieve my emails but not via my mac. When I do this, I need to print preview to view all the message otherwise only half displays and there is no toggle/slidebar to page down - so frustrating!

Talktalk are changing the platform for emails - I'm not sure if this is the reason for the problem but a message pops up when you log in.

I tried to post in the talktalk forum but as I have a tiscali account no. and not a talktalk account no. I cannot register

any assistance would be appreciated.

Edit: I too am online and can use safari. I've tried sending a message and that was received ok at talktalk

just to let you know, its working ok now. I believe the problem was with tiscali/talk talk.

I couldn't register with the forum as I only have a tiscali customer no. but its sorted now.
