smashbox cosmetics

Hi
last week I was wondering around the debenhams in brum asn came across smash box cosmetics.
The woman used a primer (for redness) and a firly pale foundation, there was no need for powder.
I have to say - it lasted all day and I was asked later on if I was a new university student - i'm 37! because of that I was really impressed.
Unfortunatly it was VERY expensive around £29 feach or the primer and the foundation. So sadly they are still in the shop.
Has anyone else experience of SMashbox? I think it was a combination of the primer and to be honest it was the only foundation i have tried that doesn't make me look slightly yellow. Currently I have a No 7 foundation, which looks so heavy in comparison.
So any cheaper primers out there?

You could look on QVC at smashbox cosmetics as its often cheaper on there. I usually look through the website but this afternoon smashbox is on at 4pm.
But for a cheaper alternative i like !!!!!!!! face primer, it really makes a difference0 -

Orifl*me is blocked because it has been spammed a lot over the years!
Smashbox products are very good and often used by make up artists. Your search for a cheaper primer is likely to be a false economy, as you have found with your current foundation. You should find that you use a lot less than you do now, so the investment will not cost a great deal more in the long run.Gone ... or have I?0 -
I never realised that about ori..flame, thanks!
Laura Gellar also does a great primer but i think it can be worth spending a little more on cosmetics if you can because it will last. I have just checked on QVC and Smashbox prices are a little lower than Debenhams. Also look on Debenhams Website as there is 10% off cosmetics and the primers are on there!0 -
QVC have this kit on at the moment, but I get most of my Smashbox from eBay to be honest.
