Credit Score of 999 but can't get a loan??
I am coming to the end of an M&S 5 year loan in my name only, which I wanted to top up again but they have refused me. I have never missed a payment and cannot understand why and they wouldn't tell me over the phone. I have since got my credit report which puts me in the excellent category with the 999 score and applied elsewhere but still cannot get a loan.
I am applying for the loans on a single application. My husband is self-employed and has some cash flow problems, could this be affecting my applications? We only have a joint mortgage. If this is the case how do I stop this happening?

Ignore the 999, it is is not worth the paper it is written on, and has no bearing on anything whatsoever. (Good money spinner though!)
Have you physically looked at both your credit files?
How much are you applying for and what is your joint income?
Do either of you have any bad credit etc?
These are essential questions, so let us know, and we will be in a better position to help.Best Regards
