Hello MSEers,
I placed 2 orders, one with Books Direct and one with Books Direct Bargains and both orders contained a FREE Jamie's America book. Unfortunately both orders arrived today with the FREE books missing, and the delivery note said they were out of stock and would be delivered when available. From past experience, once they are out of stock they don't usually get any more stock in, so can anybody tell me what will happen if they DON'T get any more in? Will I just lose out on the FREE books or will I be offered a replacement? I'm quite annoyed about this as I only placed the orders I did to get the FREE books as Christmas presents and I took the overall cost of the orders into account (hope that makes sense).

Same has happened to me ordered cheapo red bag just to get jamie book and not happy if have to pay £5 for that bit of tat without the "free" book to make it worthwhile.
perhaps I will email them to ask what is happening.

I put a few 99p books in my basket that I wouldn't otherwise have purchased because I wanted the FREE Jamie book. I took the overall cost of the order into account and was happy to pay £6ish for ALL the books together, but I wouldn't have placed the order if I thought I wasn't getting the FREE book as part of the deal. Grrrr... so annoying!
