I was declined a mortgage due to a number of addresses on my credit report and I'd thought I'll include a correction on my report. How does this sound? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Address information
I, Mr. xxx xxx, would like to explain the circumstances that led me to having five addresses on my credit report.

My family moved to 45 xxx xxx in 1999 and I lived there until May 2010. 45 xxx xxx was my permanent address between these dates but between 2004 and 2007 I lived at three other addresses: xxx xxx; 79 xxx xxx and xxx xxx.

I was a student between 2004 and 2007 at the University of xxx and was living in xxx but still lived at 45 xxx xxx when I returned from university holidays. I currently live with my parents at 50 xxx xxx and I own the freehold at 45 xxx.

I ask all lenders searching my credit report to take this into account.

Lenders with a "computer says no" attitude will still say no.

You need a lender that will look at your scenario on a more flexible basis.

It will depend on the overall scenario as well, i.e figures in question and standard lending criteria.

You might be better off getting a whole of market adviser to look at this.
