Impact of short time at address on mortgage application?

We are first time buyers and in order to be more flexible with purchasing and to save a little bit more cash for furnishings in the run up to buying a property, we are moving out of our rented flat where we have lived for 2 years and moving in with family for 3-4 months. Clearly when we make a mortgage application we will put our 'new' address and be credit searched based on that - Will a short time at the address have a negative impact here? We'll be on the electoral register at the new address asap.
