My Slow Cooker is too fast

  • Instead of buying a new SC you could just invest in one of those timer plugs....i shove stuff in before I go to work, set the timer so it comes on at about midday, and it's perfect for when i get home. Hope this helps!

(BTW, by timer plug I mean one of these jobbers. They're usually a couple of quid in the supermarket, and are v useful for various things!

I'd second what clockworkpurple has said.

Mine also cooks too fast but I have a timer plug for it. Today for example, I put in a beef joint before I left for work. It only needs about 4 hours so I set the timer to come on at 2pm and go off at 6pm when I get in from work.

Saves more money than buying a new slow cooker.

I have a John Lewis one which is really good because you put in the time you want to cook it for, then once it has cooked it automatically switches to keep warm. Really handy!

Pretty cheap. I read that you shouldn't buy one white, as it scratches/stains too easily - and oval shaped is better for fitting things in. But at a tenner - surely it's a bargain?
