RBS/moorcroft, DMP

We have been paying through with our DMP, payplan. We near the end, so we asked for an upto date figure. We paid over 1300, To RBS/moorcroft; the figure they said we still owe, is just below £700.00. We know that we had a statement, saying in Nov 2002, that there is a balance of £1200. We started our DMP in 2003 Feb.. Our Payplan figure is £109.00

I assume that there would been charges, we have not been told any charges was made we do not recall any letters from RBS, over the account. We changed to a basic bank account..

Now do we wait until the near the end when Payplan team, to approach RBS/moorcroft...Stating that the DMP is nearly finished, etc..
This account was open in 1984ish, wonder if there a chance that there is no cca, agreement, etc.. We have paid what we owe to them, we want to finish with a clean state..

please can someone advice us what is our best interest to do. ty

Your entitiled to a full statement of payments, balances etc etc. Demand that and see exactly what has being going on with your account. You could also get your agreement at the same time, if it doesn't exist then it puts you in a far stronger position.

You may think about bumping this up to the front page tomorrow so the top guys can advise on this.

I agree with eye-opener, get a full statement now, it gives you time to dispute anything Moroncroft have messed up while you still have lots of time for it to run. If you did it towards the end you may find yourself stopping paying while they say you still owe and thus getting a default (even if it is an unfair one which can be made to come off).
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
