I think most people would only use a money comparison website Ivrytwr3, and have no specific inside knowledge...Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045
Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 20370 -
wasn't looking for inside knowledge. Just say for instance someone could say xxxx currently has a good offer on.
I've checked out comparison sites, just wondering if someone knew of anything i should be aware of before i take the plunge!!0 -
Are you a FTB? 5.79% with YBS.0

no, not a first time buyer0

What, you want either ordinary users to go onto a comparison site for you? Or brokers to fire up their sourcing systems because you can't be bothered spending 2 minutes on any one of about 20 comparison sites or the FSA website? If you can't be bothered doing it why should anyone else do it on your behalf?0

Because this is a money saving forum, where people are supposed to help each other?0

Bit harsh guys, some people find these things confusing - don't judge unless you know their circumstances.0

Ivrytwr3 - if you post details of a few comparable deals that *you* have found then you're more likely to get constructive feedback from people on this board. If you include your salary details, size of deposit, value of property you want to purchase, size of current mortgage and name of current lender and other pertinent financial info, then you'll get even more help. In my experience, just asking "what's the best deal?" won't – as luckyfool has said - get you much in the way of a useful response.0
