  • i think they are just one of those things the manufacturers want you to buy but you dont really need, why should someone be more careful just because you have one of those? shouldn't they be driving carefully anyway? does everyone with a child have one? do cars without one definately not have a child on board? pathetic! not that OP has done anything wrong by posting this, so thanks!

i suppose if it makes the idiot behind slow down or pull back from your tail-gate because it makes them think, then they have some use I guess.

    Let me explain a little:

Insurance companies don't payout for injuries to anyone under 16ish (or there abouts) so any injuries arising from an accident is the responsibility of the other driver, so a court case will be set up if you have Legal Insurance on your policy.
So, just a warning ; 'Child On Board' means something:A

Money saving is now a way of life:cool:

I have never understood these stickers either and I am sorry but your explanation doesnt make it any clearer
  • The only one I ever needed was "Mother-in-Law in Boot" - that kept people off my back!
  • Hi

I found a 'Mum to be' sign very useful when i was pregnant, mostly when parking in car parks as people left lots of room next to my car to enable me to get in. We only put it in after an incident in our local supermarket when i couldn't get in to my car as the person next to me hadn't left much room so i had to wait for them to move their car. this happened a few times , but maybe a coincidence but it never happened when the sign was in place.
since this i have always used a 'Baby on board' sign

  • I have a 'twins on board sign' that was made for us and is pretty. I haven't got it there to stop people running into the back of me, cause I don't drive any differently when I see a baby on board sign, or I don't think other people will care that I have a sign. I just like having it, it's my turn as a parent so I can have one, lol.
