Did he send them by signed-for post?
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
  • yes the first lot , not the others if he did that he would have less to pay off debts as everything is that tight.
  • Hi there
Have had same problems myself I think its normal practice to send letters it is frustrating im coming up 6 months into my DMP and still get letters repetative ones too i have stated my cicumstances have not changed and my SOA remains the same and offer to carry on paying with some creditors its gone quiet but not with others

I get two letters per month from most of my creditors, I just file them unless they are specifically asking a question ie time for a review.

At each change in circumstances I notify them all by letter, payments can go down as well as up ;) lol

Tell your mate to get a filing system in place and keep copies of every letter sent as well as all letters received, its his proof of outstanding bills and correspondence/attempts to settle etc. Cos we all know how trustworthy debt collectors are ....
