First thing, get a new bank account without an overdraft and get your wages paid into there.

    Unsecured Debts
    Description....................Debt......Monthly.. .APR
    Loan Unsecured.................12700.....321.......9
    Loan Unsecured.................9355......117.......9.95
    Credit card....................5000......150.......0
    Overdraft......................2100......31....... .0
    Credit card....................616.......20........0
    Total unsecured debts..........29771.....639.......-

Next thing, if you pay the two loans, that leaves you £59 to pay the other debts - not enough... can you get another job to make an extra £150-£200 a month? Do you have anything of value you can sell - cds/dvds/clothes?

    Why do this?

The new account? Because you need to treat your overdraft as a debt and once you stop paying £31 a month off it - they might start to take all your wages. You'll need one for a DMP anyway.

Another point, is the credit card or loans with your current bank? That's another reason to move banks.

If you go onto a DMP, then you'd be paying less than the contracted amount, that means they can empty your current account (and any savings accounts) to pay the loan, which they will.

Who are each of the loans, card and overdraft with? You need a totally seperate bank.

  • Mostly with halifax but two credit cards with barclay and capital one! Does this also apply if I was to do an IVA then??

Yes it does but I don't think you'd be eligible for an IVA - I'm not an expert at them though.
