But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
morning everyone  (up early enough to start us off today :j as I am on call and received a call from a young girl who is worried she is becoming unwell
this weekend:
- [STRIKE]file away mountain of paperwork[/STRIKE] yay while doing this I realised that I have now paid off the debt in rent arrears :j have been paying this off a year & in fact we are £2.26 in credit :rotfl:
- list 3 things on ebay
- 1 NSD not any chance

- [STRIKE]go get head lights & fuse changed in car - nice man at the shop said he'd do it for me today (for free) if I go down first thing
[/STRIKE] ok it cost me £16.98 in parts, but becuase it was really difficult & took 45 mins (I have a KA & I needed 2 headlights changing, a fuse replacing & my stereo was sunken into the dashboard which now isn't
) I bought the guy a crate of Stella for £12. I thought it was a small price to pay for his generosity - dinners & lunches from stores
- [STRIKE]get trout out of freezer for today & chicken in the fridge for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
- go for a run tomorrow (week 1, run 3 :j, it steps up a bit next week _pale_)
- keep house tidy, but no cleaning as Mrs Flylady has seen to it that there's none to do :j
- check for surveys
- [STRIKE]contact AA savings as I forgot my memorable film (turns out its not so memorable after all
) and have locked myself out of the account...[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]1 load of hc in already & line dry[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]check banking & transfered some funds[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]dragged myself away from ebay before I did something drastic like spend money![/STRIKE]

- lay tiles on bathroom floor

Morning all!!!!
:(:(:(:(:(:( We have been told our landlords are selling our house:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
We have 10 weeks to move.
Those please keep your fingers crossed for us. My uncle has the same house as this and was going to rent it to us for 550 a month rather than 700 that we pay now! But he has been promising it for well over a year and has really upset me in the process but getting my hopes up and dashing them again. He needs to put in carpets and central heating which we have promised to sort for him - he is just lazy! So my Grandad has had a go at him and he said now he might get it ready for us to have when we need to move out.
So what seemed to be a disaster could actually save us £150 a month. plus he said before he doesnt want a deposit so our £700 we get back from this house would pay off our telly we still owe.
I HATE moving!!!
Right today
OH has arranged a lovely day. We are driving down to dartmoor, going for a walk and visiting badgers holt which is a little cafe we had our first date to have a cream tea- taking SIL and BIL with us. A gorgeous little cafe next to a river
Then we are having a picnic and going geocaching and then on to Tavistock for a balloon festival in the afternoon!
So my list is to do nothing but have a good day!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
We have DD2's christening tomorrow as well!!! x :jOrange Fairy

Littlekel, that sounds like an ACE day/weekend for you. Forget about the moving until Monday and enjoy yourself, I bet the weather on Dartmoor is beautiful
And on Monday, as part of your packing stuff up, have a look atgetting rid of stuff you don't want (on e-bay even....:money: ) Karmacat will tell you that it is liberating to do that, even if it has been forced upon you!
I shouldn't be on here, the car picks us up at 8pm (company will refund, as Popeye is travelling on business
) and I haven't packed anything yet.
So today I have/will:- change my old light bulbs for new economy ones for free as there is a promotion at a local shopping centre :money:
un-vacation my Amazon listings - done - write an extensive note for the maid, giving her some Spring cleaning tasks, rather than giving her time off - doesn't save any money at all, but means that she and her family will eat this month
- PACK - including the Christmas presents I've knitted

- remind DS2 to bring the luncheon vouchers I've saved to the airport, as we're going on from there and we'll take the kids out for lunch tomorrow

- 30 mins on the CT

- PACK - have I said that already........?

have a great day everybody :A I'm almost on my way
