Feeling more positive

Hi

Up until 2 days ago I was about to enter into a DMP (to be fair I just wanted the debts to go away)

However, my husband and I have created a very strict (but do-able) budget.

We are hoping to ebay our way through Xmas and 1st debt should be gone by Feb. We are then going to use a snowball effect and tackle the next one.

I have set up a bank acct for me to use as my shopping money only so I wont use the OD any more than I need to.

Anyway, today was my 1st shopping day where I used cash. Armed with a list (which I did stray from once to by a joint of beef reduced to go into the freezer for next week) and my £40 plus a voucher for £8 off.

I did it!! Menus are all planned, plenty of fresh fruit and veg for next 3-4 days and then tinned and frozen for later in the week. Bill came to £46 (got to say I am quite proud of this, there are 4 of us at home)

I really think that we can do this, just need to watch every single penny!

Hopefully I am this positive after week 2, month 2...and unfortunately year 2!!
Tackling them one step at a time...
1st Debt repaid by Feb 2011, then onto the big ones!

2010 Target...Ebay myself through Xmas.
Total Earned £53.60, Spent Nil.
