Last year both delivery options were free if i remember correctly but i didn't realise till afterwards, and i went for the standard and it arrived within a few days i couldn't belive it. However this year if you pay for the next/named or Sat the soonest date you can put is the 1st Nov. Not sure its worth paying for.0

I'm not too sure how genuine this post is? The person has only just joined, first and only post and there are a few spelling mistakes in the text.
i agree, probably trying to put us all off and grab the bargains themselves...:rotfl:
incidentaly i would have thought that a bigger selection of toys would be online rather than in store unless it a massive store, mine near me isnt.. but i can always pop instore on the way to work.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

they've only just changed that cos about ten minutes ago when i posted about next day delivery there was option to get it on the friday ... they really are messing with our minds !!0 -
Very true - but no one I have spoken to in my local stores has actually denied there would be an online sale just that it would not be all toys half price as they wanted to make it more of an instore promotion - but as you say there was a lot of wrong information given by Sainsburys themselves this year - so I will definitely be up and waiting for the online sale hoping that they are wrong
Oh I dont doubt it will be online, I spoke to a friend who works for them who said it was online but wasnt sure if it was all going to be half price as she doesnt deal with any of that, I was just making the point that last year they were wrong so they could be wrong this year about it being only a small amount of toys online.
Im hoping they are wrong too as I really dont wanna be going out in the cold, luckilly tho DS has gone to his dads so no chance of him seeing any presents I get him if I do have to go instore. DD is only 3 and although she will see them I will do what I always do when she is with me and say they are for her cousins!;)
OH reckons they do it in half term as if the kids are with you they will be asking for loads of stuff so more chance of you buying more.... quite a theory!!0 -

Hi
I work at Sainsburys head office in London.
The above Post's are Correct, The sale will not be available online
and the selected stores that are having the halfprice toy sale will be restricted to a certain amount of items per person. The Decision to not have the Online sale was apparantly made because of the amount of complaints that was made last year to as quick items sold out.
The decission to limit the number of items per Customer was made to ensure they is enought stock to last the entire week of the sale.
If you have noticed in todays Sun Newspaper they are doing the same
with the consoles and Ps3 Games (Only one game per customer)
The Good News However is that a lot of the bigger toys from the distribution centre are being shipped in to the stores to be included in the sale.
I think if you are going to be representing Sainsburys on this you will neede to submit for a 'official Sainburys rep' name otherwise your posts dont officially count as genuine!!
As it stands I will take this as gospel until you do, sorry!0 -

I was wondering about that too..... but then I could get 2 more jigsaw puzzles for the same price, so will stick to the free one I think
If the toys go through the checkout, does that mean we will 100% get them? I can't afford to wait for the money to be refunded to get them instore....
also, are the ones that you pick up in store, sent to store seperately, especially for you, or are the staff meant to get them off the shelves and put them by?:xmastree:0 -
My basket has emptied too, luckily didn't have too much stuff in it.
Someone said earlier that 3-5 days delivery was showing as free. It was saying this in all items I added too the basket yesterday, but as I've been adding things back in, some items said £3.95 delivery and other items said free 3-5 delivery. I'm abit confused by that one. :think:2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
