Finally giving in and going to bed!

Managed to get a couple of bits on Amazon, plus another couple of non-toy presents for other people so not a total waste of an evening.

Will attempt to go instore for when they open at 8am, but seems ridiculous when I have the kids with me

Last year they found every single one of their presents 3 weeks before Christmas and ripped loads of the packaging, so not only did I have to find new stuff - I couldn't take the stuff they had seen back! It was all hidden in massive boxes on top of a tall wardrobe - I swear they are part monkey. This year I wanted everything to be a total surprise but stupid Sainsburys have made sure that wont happen!

Fingers crossed my local store will have more than just Megablocks in the morning...

Well more fool Sainsburys, have also purchased the offers on Amazon and if all genuine toys when arrive will be very happy as have got about 4 kids sorted in one go.

Have got most of what I put in my Sainsburys basket half price from Amazon so ended up not feeling too deflated about saying up late.

Off to bed now and will have a lie in tomorrow as my day off and NO WAY am I going anywhere near a Sainsburys my money has been spent elsewhere now

Just got in from a 24hr store...it was maniC..EVERYTHING 1/2 PRICE....people were opening boxes on cages and pallets to find what they wanted!! Staff said it was busy at 10pm and the people waited till midnight to buy it. There was not much on the shelves...but boxes all over the place. I felt really sorry for the staff, they were shocked..so was I. There were definatley people buying to sell on, who needs 10 woody's boxes upon boxes of lego, and SF stuff galore. I saw one set of people load up about 8 trolleys then come back in...they even had a hire van to take it all home in!! Well its off to bed for me i got lots of bits i wanted...whether i needed them is another matter!! HAPPY SHOPPING...GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!

wonder what happened to the max of 6 per customer "rule" then ?? last year there was one woman who with a trolley went up to the play doh stuff , put her hand behind it and swiped the whole lot off the shelf into her trolley , the whole play doh section ! people were going mad and so were the staff but they couldnt do anything about it last year as no "rules" were in place then . annoying as it spoils it for others who genuinely want stuff for their kids
